Description
Photo is of the Sky Stations on top of the pylons that support the roof of Bartle Hall Convention Center in downtown Kansas City, MO. The 335 feet tall concrete pylons support the roof of the convention center where it crosses above Interstate highway I-670. Each pylon is crowned by sculptures designed by artist R.M. Fisher, called "Sky Stations". The pylons and sculptures are dramatically lighted at night as seen in this photo. This unique design allowed for the creation of the largest, column-free convention environment in the world.
